MTB national champions across the globe

On the weekend of July 16-17, intense competition on different tracks in nations around the world resulted in multiple Mavic riders winning new, national champion jerseys. From the USA to Canada to France, it was another strong validation of the new 2012 wheel and footwear range.

In the USA, Georgia Gould of the Luna Chix team won the US national championship cross-country race in Sun Valley, Idaho. And up north in Canada, Gould’s teammate Catharine Pendrel won her national championship cross-country in Canmore, Alberta. These two Luna Chix riders are global riders and have also achieved great results on the World Cup circuit. After winning the UCI World Cup XC in Mont Ste Anne and coming second in Windham, New York, Pendrel is in second place in the UCI World Cup overall.

In Europe, Julien Absalon is the new French national cross country champion. And racing downhill, Mavic riders Mickael Pascal and Myriam Nicole won their respective men’s and women’s national championships riding DeeMax.

Congratulations to all these top athletes in their latest victories!
