Mavic teams push ahead in Critérium du Dauphiné

Daniel Moreno of the Katusha team won 2 stages (the 2nd and 7th) and he finished 3rd place in Stage 6. This race through the mountains of the Dauphiné is an important test race for the Tour de France. The 2012 edition was extra special: it featured a stage depart in the village of Saint Trivier sur Moignans, the location of Mavic's rim building factory. And, it marks the 40th anniversary of the beginning of the Mavic neutral assistance program.

Moreno's top results capped a great week for riders on Mavic equipment. Cayetano José Sarmiento Tunarrosa (Liquigas-Cannondale) was the best climber, while Moreno was 2nd on points overall.
