Successful Tour de France in 2012

The 2012 Tour de France goes down in history as one of the most dramatic and memorable in the recent past. Mavic riders played a major role in animating the race and came away with great results during the 3 weeks of racing.

Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Cannondale) surprised everyone by winning 3 stages early in the race. With this momentum, plus big efforts on intermediate sprints, the young rider scored the green jersey in just his first-ever Tour. His teammate Vincenzo Nibali attacked the mountains in search of yellow, eventually finishing in 3rd place on GC.

The Garmin-Sharp team was decimated in the first week, as crashes took a toll on the American squad. But David Millar rallied from a breakaway to take his 4th career stage win.

Thanks to all the Mavic riders making big efforts to succeed on the biggest race of the year.
